MONTE FARMER
FOR 50 YEARS

Memorial services for Cloyd Inman were conducted at 2 p.m. June 19 at the Steffy Funeral Home by the Rev. Harry Miller, Grinnell. Louis Gorsuch played the organ selections and accompanied Mayor and Mrs. Keith Stahl as they sang "In the Garden" and "City Four Square."

Interment was in Jackson Township cemetery. Casket bearers were Ray Thompson, Ernest McFerren, Harold Thompson, Ronald Arnaman, Dean Hall and Wayne Sanders.

Cloyd, son of Loretta and Sherman Inman, was born near Deep River Nov. 13, 1890, and died in the Community hospital, Grinnell, June 16, at 72 years of age.

He attended the Byers Rural school, Deep River school and Montezuma high school.

Sept. 4, 1913, he was united in marriage with Millie Harden, and to this union, three sons and one daughter were born. Their entire married life of almost 50 years was spent in farming in the Montezuma community.

For several months, he has been in poor health.

He is survived by his wife, their three sons, Harold, Emmett and Melvin; a daughter, Lucile Carmer; nine grandchildren, Ailene, Nancy, Howard and Lola Inman; Cecil, Barbara, Brenda, Darla and Daryl Carmer, other relatives and many friends.
