MRS. ANNA PENFIELD DIES VERY SUDDENLY; FUNERAL TODAY

Mrs. Anna Bound Penfield passed away very suddenly of a heart condition Tuesday morning at a local hospital, aged 77 years. She was the widow of Wilfred E. Penfield and was the daughter of Uriah and Laura B. Lanning Vanderveer. She is survived by a brother, Ralph V. Vanderveer of Marshalltown and a sister Mrs. Ada J. Anthony of Tama.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Smith funeral home in charge of Rev. Leland W. Mann. Music was provided by Mrs. Rhee Auman and Mrs. Dolph Miller. Flower bearers were Mrs. W. I. Molsberry and Mrs. George Williams. Pall bearers were David Anthony, Emory Anthony, Leslie Anthony, Ray Anthony, Ruel Rains and Wallace Cloyd. Interment was in Hazelwood cemetery.
