HARRY STRASSER SERVICES HELD

Harry R. Strasser, 77, of Des Moines, a former Grinnell resident, died of an apparent heart attack when his car became stalled in the snow storm as he was on his way home from work Tuesday.

Born in What Cheer, Iowa, Mr. Strasser was married in 1935 to the former Merle Houts in Oskaloosa. A veteran of World War I, he served with the 34th Div., 109th Ammunition Train.

After his discharge Mr. Strasser worked as a mechanic between 1920 and 1932. He ran a general hardware and grocery store in Gibson, Iowa, four years, moving to Des Moines in 1937 and working as a tool and die maker.

Survivors include his wife; two brothers, Leslie and Roy; two sisters, Blanche Strasser and Mrs. F.O.Nolte; and two nieces.

Funeral services for Mr. Strasser were held at 3 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Westover Funeral Home in Des Moines.
