HENRIETTA BAUSTIAN, LIFETIME RESDIENT OF AREA, SUCCUMBS

Mrs. Henrietta Baustian, a resident of Grinnell for the past three years, died Sunday evening at a local hospital following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 from the Malcom Presbyterian church with the Rev. Floyd J. Conroy officiating. Contributions are being accpeted for the Presbyterian church Memorial Fund.

Burial will be in Ivy Hill cemetery at Malcom with James-Schalinske Funeral Home in charge.

The daughter of C.H. and Amanda Platt Schultz, she was born Nov. 3, 1873, in Sheridan township. She attended the public schools of that vicinity and on Feb. 12, 1894, was united in marriage with Fred Baustian. They farmed in the Sheridan area until 1901, the Chester community until 1907, and then moved southwest of Malcom and farmed until 1914 when they moved to Malcom.

She was a member of the Presbyterian church of Malcom.

Survivors include her son, Alfred Baustian of Ames; her daughter, Mrs. Grace Clark of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, in 1949; a daughter, Carrie, in 1955; and her parents and one brother.
