LOTTIE A. HALL, 88

Mrs. Lottie A. Hall, 88, of Brooklyn, died Friday, March 10, 2006, in Grinnell Regional Medical Center, Grinnell.

Funeral services for Lottie Hall were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 13, at the Nevenhoven Funeral Home, Brooklyn. Rev. John Reynolds, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiated. The musician was Marilyn Kriegel. Casket-bearers were Roger Prusha, Duane Thys, Daryl Hall and John Robey. Burial followed in Brooklyn Memorial Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established.

Lottie Agnes Iezek Hall, daughter of Charles and Emma Polka Iezek, was born March 26, 1917, north of Hartwick. She received her education at Hartwick where she graduated form high school.

She was married to Pierson Hall on December 22, 1936, at Marengo. They farmed with his parents and later with his grandfather southeast of Brooklyn until Mr. Hall's death in 1960.

Mrs. Hall moved into Brooklyn in 1968 and worked at the Bakery, Jim & Mary's Restaurant, Goodys, and was a cook at Brookhaven Nursing Home, all in Brooklyn.

Recently she was a resident of Brookhaven Nursing Home.

Mrs. Hall was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are one son, David and wife, Sarah of Brooklyn; one daughter, Linda Smith of Newton; three sisters, Esther Thys and Leona Prusha, both of Belle Plaine, and Marie Rusch of Englewood, Colo.; one granddaughter, Tracy Smith; and one great-granddaughter, Macee Smith-Leavens.

Her parents; her husband; a sister, Ella; and a granddaughter, Shari Smith, preceded her in death.
