HATTIE PEDERSEN

Hattie Pedersen, 88, of Wheaton, Ill., a former Grinnell resident, died Friday, Oct. 16, at Sandalwood Health Care Center in Wheaton.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at the Grinnell United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Lon Lewis officiating. Burial was in Hazelwood Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church and left at the Smith Funeral Home.

The daughter of Herman and Myrtle Lamb Jantzen, she was born June 2, 1904, in Grinnell. She attended school here. She was married to Edwin B. Pedersen Feb. 25, 1925, in Marshalltown. She was a member of the Grinnell United Methodist Church.

She is survived by three sons, Bernard of Palatine, Ill., Kenneth of Wheaton and Peter of Leadville, Colo.; one sister, Mary Sanger of Grinnell; one brother, Paul Jantzen of Fort Worth, Texas, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
