MRS. DICK WICHMAN DIES WEDNESDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Dick (Dolly) Wichman of Grinnell, who died Wednesday afternoon at a local hospital following an illness of several years, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Smith Funeral Home.

Officiating will be Dr. G.S. Bruland, minister of the Methodist church, with the Rev. Donald Woogie of the Malcom Methodist church assisting. Burial will be in Ivy Hill cemetery at Malcom.

The daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Thompson Bolen, she was born Aug. 15th, 1878, in Sheridan township. She received her education in the country schools of the area and had lived in Poweshiek and Tama counties her entire lifetime. For the past 17 years she had resided in Grinnell.

On Feb. 6th, 1897, she was united in marriage with Virgil Bard and to this union were born two daughters: Mrs. George (Violet) Stephen of Malcom, and Mrs. E.W. (Mildred) Burk, Sr. of Grinnell. On Mar. 6th 1906, she was united in marriage with Dick Wichman and they recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.

In addition to her children and husband, she is survived by three grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; a brother, Ed Bolen of Tama; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded n death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.

Mrs. Wichman as a member of the Malcom Methodist church, the W.S.C.S. and had belonged to the Thimble Society of Malcom for many years.
