RITES HELD FOR MRS. DECKER

Funeral services for Mrs. Genevieve Hinegardner Decker, 68, of Montezuma were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Nevenhoven Funeral Home in Brooklyn.

Dennis Dorsheimer, minister of the Church of Christ of Montezuma, officiated, with burial in Ivy Hill Cemetery, Malcom.

Mrs. Decker died Tuesday morning in the Goeke Nursing Home in Montezuma where she had been a patient since May 20.

The daughter of John and Matilda Shine Hinegardner, she was born June 10, 1906, in Malcom. She received her education in the Malcom schools. She was married to George Decker and the couple lived in Bettendorf following their marriage. For the past 10 years, Mrs. Decker had made her home with Mrs. Charlie Killian in Montezuma.

Mrs. Decker was a member of the Church of Christ in Montezuma.

She is survived by her husband and one sister, Mrs. Mae Humes of Malcom. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and six brothers.
