GEORGE WINDHURST

Geo. Windhurst was born March 14, 1849, at Mount Liberty, O., and departed this life June 22, 1916, aged 67 years, 3 months and 8 days. At an early age his parents moved to Poweshiek county, Iowa, where he grew to manhood, at which time he went to farming on his own account south of Grinnell, where he spent his entire life except the last few years that he lived at Williamsburg.

One son, Clinton William, preceded him in death seven years. He leaves to mourn his loss his *wife, two sons, Louis of Claremont, Minn., and Clark of West Union, Ia., two daughters, Mrs. H.W. Manor of Williamsburg, Ia., and Mrs. E.L. Divilbiss of Ottumwa, Ia., one sister, Mrs. Edward Monroe of Oshkosh, Wis., two brothers, William, of Indianola, Neb., and Charles of St. Cloud, Minn., a number of grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge at Grinnell. He was strong in his belief of what was right and wrong.

Interment was in Hazelwood cemetery at Grinnell, Ia. May his soul rest in peace.
