LAST SERVICES FOR JESSE HOOVER ARE HELD ON HIS BIRTHDAY

Funeral services for Jesse Herdman Hoover were held from the James funeral home Friday afternoon in charge of Rev. W.J. Stewart and Rev. W.F. Overhulser. Mr. Hoover's funeral was held on his birthday. He was born in Jasper county Dec. 12, 1875.

Appropriate music was provided by Frank Perry, who was accompanied by Mrs. Roy Mushrush.

Pall bearers were Earl Graham, Raymond Selle, Elbert McGrew, Harry Hoover, Beryl Young and Floyd Sparks.

Interment was in Hazelwood cemetery.

Jesse H. Hoover, the son of John D. and Mary Elizabeth Herdman Hoover, was born in Jasper county in the Bethel neighborhood and lived there until 20 years ago, when he moved to Grinnell.

In March of 1906 he was married to Fannie Horsford Hoover and to this union four children were born, John, who was lost at sea as a Prisoner of War in 1944, George Howard of Des Moines, Mrs. (Ruth) Hollis B. Young of Chariton and Mrs. (Evelyn) Raymond F. Eisenhauer of Dallas, Texas.

He leaves three sisters, Mrs. Mina Graham of Grinnell, Mrs. Hattie Emory, of Grinnell, and Mrs. Lila Sparks of Cedar Falls, four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
