MONTEZUMA MAN IS FOUND DEAD IN BED

(From the Montezuma Republican)

Adrian Darland, post office employee and popular Montezuma young man, was found dead in bed Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Miss Bernice McClure, who had gone to the apartment over the Kingery store to inquire about the health of Mr. Darland. Adrian had been dead about five hours. He had worked in the post office in the morning and had gone home for a rest. He had apparently gone to sleep and never awakened.

Mr. Darland was a graduate of the local high school and also of the State University of Iowa. He went to work under R.A. Mortland when he was appointed postmaster. He was one of the popular young men of the city. Funeral arrangements have not been made.

Miss McClure, upon the finding of the body of Mr. Darland, came to the Republican office and notified Donald Darland, his brother. Adrian had been in poor health for some time.
