ANNA E. WALINE

The daughter of Hiram A. and Ella Eisher Arnold, Anna was born March 5, 1906 in Guernsey, where she was reared and received her education.

She was married to Fred P. Waline June 11, 1930, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, and the couple made their home in Guernsey for many years. She moved to Brooklyn in 1988 and had been a resident of the Montezuma Senior Home since 1992.

Anna was affiliated with the Guernsey United Methodist Church; she was a homemaker and held a great love for her family. She enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens.

She is survived by her children, Richard LaVerne Waline of San Diego, Calif., and Marvin Dale Waline and his wife, Sylvia of Brooklyn; and her grandchildren, Kathy Ann Waline and Jane Ellen Waline, both of Brooklyn and Anthony R. Waline of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Anna died March 24, 1996 at the Montezuma Senior Home, at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, on November 11, 1987; a brother, Fredrick H. Arnold; and a sister in infancy, Mary Ellen Arnold.

Funeral services will be held March 28 at 10:30 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Victor. Rev. Torger Johnson of United Methodist Church, Victor and Guernsey, will officiate. Music will be provided by Jane Alexander, organist and Sue Kluber, soloist. They will perform "The Old Rugged Cross," and "What a Friend We Have In Jesus."

Pallbearers will be George Dougherty, Jr., Roger Evans, David Gabel, Daryl Goodlow, Harlan Heinen and Arthur Keller.

Interment is at Harmony Cemetery near Guernsey. The family will receive friends at the Guernsey United Methodist Church following the committal service at the cemetery. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be sent to the Guernsey United Methodist Church.
