WM. J. LIDTKA DIES AT HIS HOME NEAR NEW SHARON

William J. Lidtka, son of August and Minnie Lidtka, was born near Malcom in Poweshiek county, Iowa, on September 12, 1880, and departed this life at his home southwest of New Sharon on Jan. 23, 1943, at 10 a.m., at the age of 62 years, 4 months and 11 days.

On April 15, 1934, he was united in marriage to Mrs. Rose Luckey of Mt. Vernon, Missouri.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, two brothers, Edd Lidtka of Grinnell and John Lidtka of Montezuma, and one sister, Mrs. Freda Ryan of Moline, Ill., and several nephews and nieces.

Mr. Lidtka was suddeny taken ill on Jan. 7 with a stroke of apoplexy and peacefully passed away after an illness of two weeks. He will be greatly missed by his many friends.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Jan. 25, 1943 at 1:30 p.m. at the Taylor Funeral Home with the Rev. B.A. Fleselmann officiating. Music was in charge of Mrs. Grace Grosenbach and Mrs. Mabel Hull. Casket bearers were his neighbors, Glen Phillips, Floyd McMains, John Brandt, Harmon Brandt, James Wanders and Max Huff. Interment was made in Forest Cemetery at Oskaloosa, Iowa.
