SERVICES SET FOR THELMA WILLISON

Thelma Lynn Willison, 81, of 1717 Sunset St., Grinnell, died Friday at Grinnell General Hospital.

Funeral services for Mrs. Willison will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gary Allen Henecke, pastor of the Oskaloosa Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Music will be provided by Mrs. Patty Showalter, organist, and Keith Showalter, vocalist. Pallbearers will be Monty Ray DeJong, Roy Fleming, Kenneth Kramer, Clarence Monsma, E.L. Rubendall, and Lester Tharp Jr. Burial will be at Hazelwood Cemetery.

The daughter of George W. and Jennie Ida Cavana Richards, she was born May 12, 1894, in Eldora. She came to Grinnell with her parents as a young girl and attended public schools here. She later attended Grinnell College. She was an accomplished pianist and organist.

On Nov. 29, 1917, she was married to Lotus V. Willison in Grinnell. Following their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Willison lived near Danville, Ill., for three years. In 1920 they moved to a farm near Montezuma, where they lived for 54 years, moving to Grinnell in July of 1974.

Mrs. Willison is survived by her husband. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mrs. R.K. (Rachel) Storey; and one brother, Charles Wesley Richards, who died in infancy.
