OBITUARY OF MRS. SUSAN A. FISH

Susan A. Smith was born in the State of Ohio March 23, 1845, and moved with her parents to Michigan in early childhood where she grew to womanhood.

After an illness of several weeks she passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. M.D. Curtis of Grinnell, Iowa, at 4 p.m., August 6th, 1925, with whom she had made her home for several years.

She was united in marriage to E.H. Fish April 27, 1864, to which union were born four children, two of whom died in infancy, and two, George H. Fish of Mellen, Wisconsin, and Mrs. M.D. Curtis of Grinnell, Iowa, together with a foster daughter, Mrs. A.E. Butterfield of Walker, Iowa, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandson, besides nieces and nephews and a host of friends, remain to mourn her loss.

Mrs. Fish was preceded in death by her husband eight years ago last December.

She has been affiliated with the Methodist church for forty years, and was a lovable character, a good mother, and a friend to all who knew her.
