Deep River Record (Deep River, Iowa) Sept. 16, 1913

Joseph Acord was born in Vinton county, Ohio, February 10, 1844. In 1853 he moved with his parents to Poweshiek county, Iowa, where he grew to manhood. On Sept. 29, 1870, he was married to Miss Mary Welch of Washington, Iowa, where they resided for three years, then moved to their farm east of Deep River, and three years ago moved to their present home in town where they resided until the time of his death, Sept. 5, 1913.
