MRS. CLINDININ RITES SATURDAY

Mildred E. Clindinin, 93, of 1402 Summer St. died Thursday evening at St. Francis Manor.

Funeral services fosr Mrs. Clindinin were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Philip J. Ramstad, pastor of the United Church of Christ-Congregational, officiating. Organist was Norman Goodbrod. Pallbearers were Allen Dean, Edwin Dean, Berkley Gould, Mac Molison, Richard Ramsey and G.G. Wubbels.

Burial was at Hazelwood Cemetery.

The daughter of George E. and Elizabeth Knight James, she was born June 10, 1884, in Grinnell. She attended local schools, graduated from Grinnell High School in 1903. She later attended a Des Moines business college, then returned to Grinnell where she was employed at the former Tom Bray law office and the Merchants Bank.

She was married to Frank Finley Clindinin in Grinnell. Mr. Clindinin operated a grocery store and later owned the Clindinin Real Estate and Insurance Agency.

Mrs. Clindinin was a member of the United Church of Christ-Congregational.

She is survived by a son, James K. Clindinin of Whittier, Calif.; one grandson; and a sister, Helen F. James of Grinnell. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1951 and one grandson.
