ASHES OF LON H. BOYDSTON ARE BURIED IN MONTEZUMA

Montezuma Republican: Mrs. L.H. Boydston arrived here Friday from Des Moines where she had spent a few days with her son, Bert. Saturday afternoon the son arrived with the ashes of the husband and father, who died some time ago in Oakland, Calif. He was met at the train by a delegation of Odd Fellows and Knights of Pythias and automobiles conveyed the party to the cemetery.

At the grave the little urn, holding all that was mortal of the former resident, was lowered into the place prepared and Reverend Blagg offered prayer, which concluded the ceremonies.

L.H. Boydston was well known in this county where he spent many years of his life. He was for forty years a member of the Odd Fellows lodge of Montezuma and for many years a member of the K. of P. organization here. At one time he was the editor of the Democratic paper and was held in high esteem by all who knew him. His death occurred in Oakland, Calif., where the funeral was held at the time. His body was cremated and the ashes brought here for burial in the family lot in the cemetery.

Mrs. Boydston will remain in the city for a few days the guest of friends.
