DAVID E. MANN

David Eugene Mann, 41, of Clinton, Mo., a native of Grinnell, died Monday, Sept. 16, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo. Death was attributed to a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday at Watts Funeral Home in Montezuma, with the Rev. George Salnave, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Montezuma, officiating. Organist was Kathleen Ramsey, and soloist was Rhonda Minner. Casket bearers were Larry Iverson, Jim Urfer, Mike Hall, Dale Douglas, Randy Pitman, Mike Phillips and Bud Maschmann.

Masonic services were conducted by members of Lily Lodge No. 254. Burial was in Ivy Hill Cemetery, Malcom.

He was the son of Eugene and Mary Lou Fisk Mann and was born Nov. 10, 1954, in Grinnell. He was a 1973 graduate of Montezuma High School.

He was married to Vicki Cummings Jan. 15, 1977, in Montezuma. They later moved to Scranton, living there for four years before moving to Clinton, Mo., where Mr. Mann was a Farm Bureau Insurance agent.

He was a member and an elder of the First Presbyterian Church in Clinton, a member of Lily Lodge and the KAABA Shrine.

Surviving are his wife; two children, Nicole and Lucas; his parents; two sisters, Vicki Hopkins of Troy, Mo., and Nancy Carper of Mason City; and two brothers, John of Malcom and Mark of Hanover, Minn.

A memorial has been established in the form of a college scholarship fund for his children.
