MRS. AMELIA STERRETT

Amelia Hollen was born in McCane county, Pennsylvania, Novemer 10th 1841. She was married to Alonzo H. Sterrett in 1865 and they moved to Iowa the following year.

She has been a member of the Methodist church all her life and was a devout and faithful Christian, ever known for her sweet and trusting faith in her Heavenly Father.

Three years ago she moved to Moline, Ill., where she has made her home, and while the last two years have marked a steady decline in the physical, the spiritual never wavered, always resigned to the will of her Father, never complaining and always saying she was better when asked as to her condition.

She was a good wife and a true, faithful mother, making the interests of the children her especial care and enjoyment.

Her beautiful Christian life has been an inspiration to her family and friends, and the trusting soul has at last been released from its prison house and is now at peace.

There are four children surviving--Mrs. S.E. Phelps, of Boise, Idaho; A.F. Sterrett, of Winnetka, Ill.; James G. Sterrett, of Moline, Ill., and Mayme B. Sterrett, of Grinnell, Iowa.

The body was brought to Grinnell and buried beside that of her husband, who died several years ago. Her two sons, James and Arthur, accompanied the body to Grinnell. Dr. J.M. Brown conducted the funeral service at the M.E. church yesterday at 2:30 o'clock.
