KYLE LEE MILLER
Kyle Lee Miller, 45, of Grinnell died of cancer Sunday, Aug. 20, at the New Sharon Care Center.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Grinnell, with the Rev. Dr. Anthony G. Farrell officiating. Music was provided by organist Pat Shaw, soloist Milton Severe and members of St. Mary's Choir.
Pallbearers were Dave Leaming, Charlie Manly, Colby Miller, Sean Miller, Willie Miller and Frank Webster. Honorary bearers were Ray Carlson, Ted Clausen, Ron Higgins, C.M. Manly, Jim McKenna, Harold Moyer, Tim Pefferman and Tom Pefferman.
Burial was in Hazelwood Cemetery, with the Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The son of James and Dorothy Gardner Miller, he was born Jan. 10, 1950, in Grinnell. He was a 1969 graduate of Grinnell High School. He worked at The Grinnell Herald-Register for several years before being employed at Maytag in Newton.
Following an automobile accident in 1979, he owned and operated This & That on Main St. in Grinnell. He retired because of health reasons.
Surviving are his parents; one daughter, Michelle Connally of Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Barbara Webster of Gilman; and three brothers, Kelly of Sully, Sean of Grinnell and Colby of Colorado Springs, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
