LOUISE MARIE ROBEY
Funeral services were Wednesday morning, June 3, at Smith Funeral Home in Victor for Louise Marie Robey, 95, who died Sunday, May 31, 1998, at Brookhaven Nursing Home in Brooklyn.
The Rev. Allan Hafner of St. James Lutheran Church in Victor officiated. Jean Fontinel, organist, provided "I'm But a Stranger Here, Heaven is My Home" and "Abide With Me." Pallbearers were Larry Fuller, Randy Mumm, Russell Mumm, Ricky Mumm and Lawrence Vercande. Interment was at Victor Memorial Cemetery.
The daughter of Julius and Caroline Hardke Domin, Louise was born Sept. 30, 1902, in Des Plaines, Ill. She received her education in Des Plaines and was a 1920 graduate of Immanuel Lutheran School.
She was married to Rudolph Robey May 12, 1927, in Des Plaines, and the couple made their home in Maywood, Ill. She was employed as a store clerk at several downtown Chicago and Maywood stores for several years, prior to moving to Victor in 1970. Most recently she had been a resident of Brookhaven in Brooklyn. Louise was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Victor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy, in 1975; her son, Charles, four brothers, Herman, Fred, Charles and Frank; and one sister, Mary.
Survivors include two grandchildren, William and James Robey; and several nieces and nephews, including Lois Gross of Brooklyn and Ross Robey of Victor.
