JOHN M. CAUGHEY FUNERAL SERVICES PLANNED TUESDAY

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the James-Schalinske Funeral Home for John M. Caughey of 720 Broad St., who died at a local hospital Saturday evening.

Officiating at the services will be the Rev. C.E. Kinglsey, pastor of the First Baptist church. Organist will be Mrs. Kathleen Heffner.

Pallbearers will be Lester Hall, Lyle Hall, Ray Hall, Charles Cunningham, Lloyd Hurdle, and Howard Kydd. Interment will be in Ivy Hill cemetery at Malcom.

Mr. Caughey was the son of John and Alice Angus Caughey and was born Jan. 16, 1884, at Deep River. He married Grace Lippincott on March 31, 1907, at Des Moines and they made their home southeast of Malcom and farmed there until moving to Grinnell about 30 years ago. He was employed by Midwest Mfg. Co. of Kellogg for 21 years.

Survivors include his widow, Grace; two daughters, Mrs. H.D. (Marjorie) Wexler of Escondido, Calif., and Mrs. E.F. (Dorothy) Patelski of Batavia, Ill.; and two grandchildren, John and Beth Ann Wexler.

Mr. Caughey was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
