BETTY LIPPINCOTT, 73

Betty Lippincott, 73, of Brooklyn, died on June 15, 2005, at Brookhaven, Brooklyn, from complications of multiple myeloma cancer. Cremation followed immediately after her death.

Visitation will be held between 4-7 p.m. on Friday, June 24, at Nevenhoven Funeral Home in Brooklyn.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, officiated by the Rev. David Rogula of Grace United Methodist Church.

A memorial fund has been established.

Betty, the daughter of Kenneth and Viola Force Lineweaver, was born on March 7, 1932, in Grinnell. She graduated from Brooklyn High School in 1949.

On July 2, 1949, she married Dean Lippincott in Brooklyn.

Betty spent 20 years commuting to Grinnell from Brooklyn to work at Cunningham Drug.

Betty was a wife, homemaker, friend, mother, sister and more. Second in devotion to her family, Betty enjoyed golf and cards with her many friends.

Betty's family and friends already miss her love, warmth, smile and joy for children.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Betty is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dean Lippincott; three sons, Kenny (Nanette) of Columbia, Mo., Colin (Julie) of Boulder, Colo., and Keith of Des Moines. She also is survived by seven great-grandchildren, Kimberly, Leslie, Brent, Rachel, Bryan, Isabel and Samuel, and three great-great-grandchildren, Clarissa, Andrew and Zoe.

Betty is survived by three siblings: Beulah Buhrow of Laurel, Ken Lineweaver of San Antonio, Texas, and Dick Lineweaver of Okoboji.
