AN OBITUARY OF MRS. HUTCHISON

Zula Catherine Lorimore was born at Sunbury, Ohio, July 8, 1861 and passed away at her home in Grinnell, Saturday, December 27, 1930, aged 69 years, 5 months, and 19 days. She came to Iowa in 1879 and has been a resident of the state ever since with the exception of 11 years spent in Nebraska and three years in Wisconsin.

She was united in marriage September 18th, 1881, to W.E. Hutchison, and to this union were born twelve children: Mrs. Carrie Wright, Marshalltown, Iowa; Mrs. Eva Gregson, Luverne, Iowa; Herbert Hutchison, Grinnell, Iowa; Miss Lottie Hutchison, Grinnell, Iowa; Ray Hutchison, Mitchellville, Iowa; Carl Hutchison, Rockaway, Oregon; Mrs. Zula Weakley, West Liberty, Iowa; Mrs. Mary Peters, Grinnell, Iowa; Arthur Hutchison, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Mildred Hutchison, Grinnell, Iowa. Two children preceded their mother in death, also her husband who passed away September 30, 1930. September 18 she and her husband celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary and were looking forward to their golden wedding.

Mrs. Hutchison was the oldest child and she is survived by three brothers and two sisters; William Larimore, Columbus, Ohio; Joseph Larimore, Westerville, Ohio; Thomas Larimore, Topeka, Kansas; Mrs. Otis Sherbourne, Delaware, Ohio; Mrs. Carrie Bolton, Columbus, Ohio. There are also fourteen grandchildren.

She was a member of the Baptist church, serving on the board of deaconesses. She was an active member of the Mission circle, always doing her part well. Also a member of the Loyal Daughters class and for some time was the efficient teacher. She also loved the prayer meeting and attended regularly until a little over a year ago when her health failed, but she still retained her interest in her church and always was inquiring about its welfare and its activities. She was always a welcome caller in the sick room because of her cheerful greeting and smile, and her interest in the Lord's work. She was a member of the local Women's Relief Corps.

She was a good neighbor, never heard to speak ill of anyone. She will be missed but not forgotten by her loved ones and friends. She is not dead but gone before.

NOTE: Surname Lorimore also spelled Larimore in this newspaper copy.
