MISS JESSIE B. QUIVEY

Jessie B. Quivey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Linus Quivey, was born in Knox county, Illinois, July 28, 1863. She lived there until she was six years of age, when she came with her parents to Grinnell, Ia., where she spent the remainder of her life. Her mother passed away in 1897, her father in 1915. Early Thursday morning, after a brief illness, she died of pneumonia at the old family home, now the home of her brother, George L. Quivey. She leaves to mourn her loss two brothers and two sisters: Mrs. J.C. Powell of San Diego, Cal., Berlin W. Quivey, Mrs. O.T. Carlstrom, and George L. Quivey of Grinnell. The eldest brother, David, died in 1880.

Miss Quivey united with the Baptist church in Grinnell in her girlhood, and was ever faithful and devoted to the church of her choice. Unselfish, thoughtful for the welfare of others, always kind, always helpful, she will be missed by a large circle of friends.

The funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the old home, Rev. Frank H. Webster officiating. Interment was in Hazelwood cemetery.
