ANNA E. CARLSTROM

--The many friends of Mrs. O.T. Carlstrom of Chester, were surprised and pained to hear of her death, Tuesday morning. A week previous she had given birth to a little son. She was attacked by measles, followed by pneumonia, and in a few hours the weakened body had given up her spirit to its Maker. The deceased woman, born Anna Harpster, first saw light in Mifflin county, Pa., Dec. 27, 1862. In 1881 her parents moved to Iowa, settling in Chester. Feb. 28, 1882, she was united in marriage with Mr. O.T. Carlstrom. To this union five children were born and all with the husband survive her. Mrs. Carlstrom was a member of the Congregational church of Chestser and was an earnest, consistent christian. Her death is a sad loss to her husband and children who have the sympathy of a large circle of friends. The funeral was held yesterday, consisting of a brief service at the late home and a service at the Congregational church, conducted by Rev. Jas. Rowe, her pastor. A large company of friends were present to show their love for the departed woman. Interment was in the Chester cemetery.
