Mr. Willett died suddenly Sunday evening following a three week illness at the home of his daughter, Mrs. U.J. Hansen. He suffered a stroke and complications developed causing his death.

Cornelius Ellsworth, son of William C. and Anna E. Willett, was born near Brooklyn, June 1, 1870 and died Dec. 26, 1943 at the age of 73 years, 6 months and 26 days.

On March 24, 1897, he was united in marriage to Rose B. Breniman, who preceded him in death March 7, 1942. To this union were born three children: Fred, Helen, now Mrs. U.J. Hansen, and Howard, all of Brooklyn.

Having spent his entire life in the community south-east of Brooklyn, he lived on the same farm from the time of his marriage until shortly before his death. He united with the Episcopal church when a young boy.

Those who survive are the three children; one brother, Perry, of Brooklyn; and a sister, Mrs. Effie Baker of Eugene, Oregon; and other relatives and friends.
