MRS. OLIVE BROWN DIES THIS MORNING; SERVICES PENDING

Mrs. Olive Frances Brown, 70, wife of Earl Brown, 322 Main St., died this morning (Thursday) at a local hospital following a 5-year illness.

Funeral services are pending. Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brown was a daughter of Ralph and Frances Tish Moore and was born on April 14, 1892, near Searsboro.

She was married to Thomas Earl Brown at Searsboro on May 18, 1910. They lived in Albia a few years and in 1925 moved to Grinnell to make their home.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her six children, Mrs. Van E. (Mae) Davis, Mrs. Raymond (Genevieve) Playle, Mrs. Nadine Werneberg, and Mrs. Mildred Ryan, all of Grinnell; Ralph Weslie Brown of North Polk County, Iowa and Mrs. Robert (Frances) Dickson, of Los Angeles, California.

She was preceded in death by one son, Russell Paul Brown, in 1960.

In addition to her husband and six children she is survived by 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

She attended the Friends church at Searsboro and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
