EVELYN TISH SERVICES SET

Evelyn A. Tish, 81,of rural Coon Rapids, formerly of Searsboro, died Saturday, Jan. 26, at St. Anthony's Hospital in Carroll.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wedneday at the Community Friends Church in Searsboro, with burial in the West Liberty Cemetery. Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials in Mrs. Tish's name may be made to the Community Friends Church and sent in care of the funeral home.

The daughter of Charles and Grace Morgan Webb, she was born April 4, 1903, in Des Moines. She moved to Weldon with her family and attended rural schools. She was a graduate of Weldon High School and later attended Simpson College. Following her education, she taught school.

She was married to Ellis L. Tish in August 1937 at Osceola. The couple lived in Searsboro, where Mrs. Tish worked as postmaster for 17 years. She was a member of the Community Friends Church where she served as church organist and treasurer. She also taught Sunday school.

Survivors include her children, Dorothy Taylor of rural Coon Rapids and Thomas L. Tish of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Wesley Webb of Osceola and Richard Webb of Festus, Mo.; and one sister, Frances Petrie of Creston. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother, John Webb.
