BETHANY RAE DEPAUW HAMILTON

Funeral services were Saturday morning, March 1, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Hiawatha, for Bethany Rae Hamilton, 34, of Cedar Rapids, who died Thursday, Feb. 27, 1997, at her home after a brief illness. The Rev. John Gossman officiated. Vigil services were held Friday at Murdoch Funeral Home, Marion. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Cemetery, Brooklyn.

Bethany was born the daughter of Raymond DePauw and the late Norma Lee Roth on July 7, 1962, in Grinnell. On Sept. 14, 1996, she married Bruce Hamilton in Hiawatha. Bethany was a receptionist for Surgical Specialists in Cedar Rapids. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother; her maternal grandfather, William Roth; and her paternal grandparents, Ed and Blanche DePauw.

Survivors include her husband, Bruce; her father, Raymond DePauw and stepmother, Mary, of Brooklyn; a brother, Michael DePauw and wife Pauline of Malcom; two sisters, Devran DePauw and Kathryn Gilliland and husband Rick, all of Cedar Rapids; her maternal grandmother, Mrs. William Roth of Brooklyn; two nieces, Laura DePauw of Eddyville, and Mariah Gilliland of Cedar Rapids; a nephew, Joshua Gilliland of Cedar Rapids; several stepbrothers and stepsisters; and several aunts and uncles.

A memorial fund has been established.
