LORENA TRIPLETT DIES WEDNESDAY; MONDAY SERVICES

Mrs. Lorena Faye Triplett, 59, Grinnell, widow of Luellan L. Triplett, died suddenly Wednesday evening at a local hospital following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday from the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph J. Houghton of the First Assembly of God church officiating. Burial will be in Hazelwood cemetery.

She was the daughter of Frederick C. and Vicsa Pickering Smith and was born on Jan. 29, 1903, near Unionville, Mo. She attended the local public schools and later, on Feb. 9, 1921, was united in marriage with Luellan L. Triplett at Unionville, Mo.

Soon after their marriage the family moved to Long Pine, Nebraska, and in 1941 they moved to Grinnell to make their home.

Mrs. Triplett is survived by her nine children: Mrs. Earl (Ruth) Lemke of Kellogg; Raymond Triplett of Grinnell; Ronald Triplett of La Puente, Calif.; Rolland Triplett of Grinnell; Mrs. Clyde (Betty) Phipps of Grinnell; Mrs. Wilber (Donna) Hunter of Colfax; Mrs. Kenneth (Bobbette) Henning of Kellogg; Joe Triplett of Arlington, Calif.; Mrs. Raymond (Barbara) Wright of Grinnell.

Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and four step-grandchildren as well as two sisters--Mrs. Carl (Ruby) Prince of Grinnell and Mrs. Jim (Hannah) Ryan of Leon, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Luellan on March 18, 1960; and one son, Robert Triplett, on May 20, 1961.
