LAST RITES HERE FOR MRS. ADA MURRISON

Mrs. Ada Murrison, 94, former Brooklyn resident, died April 16, at St. Francis Home in Laconia, N.H. She had lived in or near Brooklyn all of her life until 1960 when she went to New Hampshire to live.

Mrs. Murrison was born on a farm northwest of Brooklyn May 28, 1869. She was the daughter of Thomas and Margaret Buchanan Frizzell. She attended the Sigafoose school and later attended normal school.

On Nov. 24, 1898, Thanksgiving Day, she was married to Gordon W. Murrison at the home of her father, at the site of the present Brooklyn Hotel. One daughter, Margaret, was born to the couple.

Mrs. Murrison was a member of the First United Presbyterian church of Brooklyn. She also belonged to Deborah Rebekah lodge No. 202 at Brooklyn and the Past Noble Grand circle.

Preceding her in death were her husband; her parents; one brother, J.W. Frizzell and two sisters, Mrs. Harriett Maguire and Mrs. Ella Silcott.

Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Ralph S. (Margaret) McLaughlin of Laconia, N.H. and one granddaughter, Mrs. Harold F. (Kathryn) Albers of Monroe, Ia.

Services were held at the First United Presbyterian church in Brooklyn April 20 at two o'clock with the Rev. G.H. Hulsebus officiating. Leo Shuler was organist. Memebers of the Rebekah lodge attended in a group.

Interment was in I.O.O.F. cemetery with Howard Richeson, Andrew Calderwood, Ross McCulla, Kenneth Gross, Raymond Montgomery and Marvin Calderwood serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Nelson Korns, Bruce Miller, Ray Richman, James Hull and Hobart Powell. Flower attendants were Mrs. Nelson Korns, Mrs. Andrew Calderwood, Mrs. Howard Richeson and Mrs. Jean Hall.
