ETHEL FOSTER FUNERAL RITES HELD TODAY

Funeral services were held this afternoon at Smith funeral home for Ethel Vida Foster, 67, who died Saturday after an illness of several months.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph, six children, Wilbur of Oskaloosa, Mrs. Lawrence (Clara) Wallis of Newburg, Orville of Newton, Bennie of Malcom, Mrs. Carl (Doris) Binegar of Grinnnell, Mrs. Ed (Edna) Ericson of Marshalltown and 18 grandchildren.

Also surviving is a brother, Jesse Vaughn of California.

Daughter of the late Samuel J. Vaughn and Julia Redford Caughran Vaughn, she was born May 27, 1889 in Wayne county, Ky. She was married to Ralph Foster in Grinnell, Sept. 11, 1915.

The Rev. Carl E. Kingsley, minister of the First Baptist church officiated at the services. Burial was at Hazelwood cemetery. Pallbearers were Gerald Foster, Leroy Foster, Richard Foster, Merle Pagel, Thomas Irwin and Charles Reeves. Flower bearers were Mrs. Hugh Louden and Mrs. Adolph Altemeier. Music was by Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Palmer and Ed Bohstedt.
