ROBERT WILSON DIES IN ILLINOIS

Robert C. Wilson, 70, of Hanna City, Ill., formerly of Grinnell, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, at St. Francis Medical Center there.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, with burial in Swan Lake Memory Gardens, Hanna City.

A native of Montezuma, he was born on May 21, 1916, the son of William M. and Alta E. McNeal Wilson. He moved to Grinnell at the age of 2 and graduated from Grinnell High School in 1934.

He was married to Verna L. Vanderhevdt on Nov. 29, 1937, in Newton.

Mr. Wilson was a carpenter for 44 years. He was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons.

Survivors include his wife Verna; one son, Ronald R. of Peoria, Ill.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mildred Bailey of Grinnell. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
