ANDREW DIEHM, LONGTIME RESIDENT, DIES HERE SUNDAY

Resident of Grinnell for more than 35 years, Andrew Diehm died at a local hospital Sunday morning following a long illness.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 25th at the Trinity Lutheran church with the Rev. Donald Loots and the Rev. Otto Zwanziger officiating.

Born March 23rd, 1877 at Baden Germany, he came to this country with his parents when he was seven years old. They lived in the Newton-Kellogg vicinity where he grew to manhood.

In 1902, he was married to Anna Kinzel who died a few years later. On Feb. 14th, 1906, he was united in marriage to Clara Weber and together they farmed in the Kellogg-Grinnell area until 1920, when they moved to Grinnell.

He is survived by his wife and seven children; Fred of Newton; Bernhardt of Grinnell; Leonard of DeKalb, Illinois; Arthur of Malcom; Mrs. Chris Septer of Searsboro; Mrs. Hale Vanderveer of Grinnell; and Mrs. Lester Foster of Malcom.

Also surviving are 21 grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were three sons, three sisters and one brother. Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
