MRS. BILLICK DIES TUESDAY

Mrs. Irene Billick, 70, 2006 Skyline Drive, died Tuesday afternoon at Marshalltown Area Community Hospital. Her services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Brooklyn United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Lynn Williams in charge. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery at Brooklyn.

She was born Dec. 12, 1909, in Brooklyn, the daughter of Albert and Nellie Beacon Scott. She spent her early life and received her education in Brooklyn.

She married Julius Billick May 26, 1930, in Montezuma. They lived at Brooklyn before moving to Marshalltown in 1941.

She is survived by a son, Larry Billick, Des Moines; three brothers, Walter and Wallace Scott, both of Brooklyn, and Willis Scott, Cedar Rapids; three sisters, Miss Verna Scott, Waterloo, Mrs. Florence Swartz, Grand Juncion, and Mrs. Margaret Himshoot, Buckingham; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, a brother and a sister.

Mrs. Billick was a member of the United Presbyterian Church.

The Nevenhoven Funeral Home in Brooklyn is in charge of the services and friends may call there after 10 a.m. Thursday.
