MRS. ELIZA MCKEE DIES
HAD LIVED IN POWESHIEK COUNTY SINCE 1888

Mrs. Eliza McKee, aged and respected pioneer of the community, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Scoville, who lives four miles south of Montezuma, at 1 o'clock, Tuesday afternoon. She would have been 89 years old, the 14th of next April. Funeral services will be conducted from the Methodist church. Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. A. H. Barker.

Mrs. McKee came to this county in 1888 and has enjoyed the respect of the community throughout the many years. Mr. McKee died in 1896. The children are: Mrs. Lois Spooner, of Elkhart, Iowa, Mrs. Ella Swank, of Des Moines, Mrs. Charles Scoville, of Montezuma, Mrs. D. W. Allen, of Nampa, Idaho, and Mrs. Ira Fifer, of Montezuma.
