FUNERAL SERVICES ON SATURDAY FOR HAROLD SCHOOLEY

Harold Schooley, 60, of 1210 Hamilton Ave., died late Wednesday morning at a local hospital where he had been confined since Sunday. He had been in poor health the last few years.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald A. Rich, pastor of the Assembly of God church, officiating. Vocal music will be by Darrell Wyss, accompanied by Mrs. James Wilson at the organ.

Pallbearers will be George Christinson, Paul Christinson, Donald Fleener, Harold Fleener, Louis Fleener and Philip White. Burial will be in Hazelwood cemetery.

He was the son of William Elwood and Anna Elizabeth Gilbert Schooley, and was born in Grinnell on October 28, 1903. He attended the local public schools.

On March 23, 1927, he was united in marriage with Viola Fleener at Montezuma. To this union was born one son: Arthur W. Schooley of Belle Plaine. Mr. Schooley had lived in Grinnell all of his life and was employed by the Iowa State Highway Commission for 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Viola at the family home; his son, Arthur; five grandsons: Philip, Wayne, Ronald, Billy and David Schooley of Belle Plaine; as well as one brother and one sister: Donald Schooley of Muncie, Ind., and Mrs. Clayton (Anna Mae) White of Aurora, Ind.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
