SERVICES TODAY FOR MR. GRAHAM

Beecher L. Graham, 59, of Rte. 4, Grinnell, died of cancer Friday morning, Jan.20, at Grinnell General Hospital.

Masonic rites were conducted at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Smith Funeral Home by Clark Watkins and members of Hermon Lodge No. 273.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Daniel I. Ogata, pastor of the First United Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Pallbearers will be Ron Adams, Chuck Burnham, Kenneth Hanssen, Gene Gritsch, Roger Osborn and Robert Rutherford. Honorary bearers will be Virgil Adams, Merle Burnell, Curtis Ferneau, Arthur Grosenbach, Wayne Gropper, James Puls Sr., Willis Snook and Floyd Buffinton. Flower bearers will be Veronica Guthrie, Rowena Porter and Richard and Maggie Marcellus.

The son of Sam A. and Alma H. Pimlott Graham, he was born near his farm home on June 9, 1924. He attended rural school and Grinnell High School. Mr. Graham was a grain and livestock farmer and had also done grain trucking.

He was married to Delores Osterhagen on Aug. 27, 1950, and the couple continued to live on the farm east of Grinnell.

Mr. Graham was a member of the Farm Bureau, the Malcom Co-op Elevator, the Grinnell Elks Lodge, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Hermon Masonic Lodge, the Za-Ga-Zig Shrine, the Poweshiek County Shrine Club, and the Jasper County Shrine and Trike Club.

He is survived by his wife, Delores; two children, Jenese Slagle and Duane Graham, both of Grinnell; three step-grandchildren; and one sister, Myrna Allen of Grinnell.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Ferrel S. Graham. His father died Sunday Jan. 22.
