ALMA GRAHAM SERVICES HELD

Alma Graham, 79, of Rte. 4, Grinnell, died of an apparent heart attack Sunday at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.

Funeral services for Mrs. Graham were scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Daniel J. Ogata, pastor of the First United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Music was provided by Mrs. Kathleen Heffner, organist, and Miss Kathy Loftin and Mrs. Marlene Gritsch, vocalists. Pallbearers were Marvin Brookbank, Gene Gritsch, Wayne Gropper, James Puls Sr., Robert Rutherford and Larry Osterhagen. Honorary pallbearers were Frank Brown, Virgil Doud, Sherley Eichhorn, Raymond King, Harvey Marcum and Leslie Martin. Flower bearers were Mr. and Mrs. Willis Snook and Mr. and Mrs. Danny Slagle.

Burial was at Ivy Hill Cemetery, Malcom.

The daughter of Henry C. and Martha Margaret Billick Pimlott, she was born Sept. 14, 1897, in Malcom Township. She attended schools near her home and was graduated from Malcom High School.

On Dec. 10, 1918, she was married to Sam. A. Graham in Grinnell. The couple had three children. Mr. and Mrs. Graham had farmed near Malcom and Grinnell and had lived on their present farm since 1940. Mrs. Graham was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Rebekahs, and the Victor Grange.

Survivors include her husband, Sam; her daughter, Mrs. Wilbur (Myrna) Allen of Rte. 1, Grinnell; a son, Beecher L. Graham of Rte. 4, Grinnell; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Ferrel Stanley, who died in infancy, and two brothers, Harold at the age of 12 and one in infancy.
