HENRY C. PIMLOTT

Henry Clayton Pimlott, youngest son of Clark and Tabitha Pimlott, was born in Bureau County, Ill., on Feb. 2, 1858, and passed away at his home on Tuesday morning, Nov. 28 at 7:30 at the age of 81 years, 9 months and 26 days.

At the age of 16 years, he with his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister and 1 step-sister, came to Iowa and located on the farm just east of the Malcom cemetery. He attended the Malcom High School and grew to manhood in that vicinity. His father passed away 5 years later, so he with the help of his brothers, sisters and mother kept the home together until his mother passed away Sept. 1896.

On Dec. 10, 1896 he was united in marriage to Martha Billick. To this union were born three children, 1 daughter, Alma (Mrs. Sam Graham), 1 infant son who passed away at birth, and Harold who passed away at the age of 12. He was the last survivor of the family.

Those he left to mourn his loss are his wife and daughter, Mrs. Sam Graham, 3 grandchildren, Beecher and Myrna Graham and Lewis Pimlott, besides nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services were held from the home on Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Sterling in charge. Music was furnished by a mixed quartet. Pall bearers were John Swanson, Alex Jack, John Patton, Tom Byers, Mr. Christianson and Bill Jack, all close friends of the deceased.

Burial was in the family lot in Ivy Hill cemetery at Malcom.
