JIM LIPPINCOTT

Jim Lippincott, son of William and Ellen Monk Lippincott, was born at Carelton, Mo. June 22, 1882, and died at Evangelical hospital in Marshalltown March 6, 1963 where he had been a patient several months. He was 80 years old.

When a small child he moved with his parents to Cedar Bluff, Iowa, where he attended school before coming to Brooklyn in 1907.

He was married to Mable Orr of Brooklyn January 6, 1916, and four children were born to the couple.

Mr. Lippincott became a barber in 1910 and began work in the G.W. Murrison building in 1914 where he worked until his retirement several years ago. He continued to assist in the baber shop until March of last year.

Survivors include his widow, a son, William of Brooklyn, two sisters, Mrs. Grace Casey of Chicago and Mrs. Myrtle Davis of Grinnell and two brothers, Homer of Grinnell and Robert of Cedar Rapids.

Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers, two sisters and three children, in infancy.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock at Bramer Funeral Home with the Rev. G.H. Hulsebus, pastor of First United Presbyterian church, officiating. Leo Shuley was organist.

Interment was in I.O.O.F. cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Charles Drake, Ross Hall, Walter Wagner, Walter Edelen, James Hull and Harley Burch. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Hall assisted with the flowers.
