FRANK RITTER MEMORIAL SET

Frank Ritter, 80, of 511 Tenth Ave., Grinnell, died Saturday morning, Sept. 24, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

The body was cremated. Masonic memorial services will be conducted at 7 p.m. today at the Smith Funeral Home. Memorials in Mr. Ritter's name may be left at the funeral home.

The son of Harry and Carrie Allen Ritter, he was born Jan. 17, 1903, at Searsboro. He moved to Grinnell with his family as a young boy and later graduated from Grinnell High School in 1924.

On Aug. 14, 1927, he was married to Helen Frizzell at Brooklyn. The couple lived in Grinnell where he was associated with his father and brother Bill in operating Ritter Hardware. He retired in 1966. Mr. Ritter was a 50-year member of the Hermon Masonic Lodge and was also a member of the Elks Lodge here.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; two sons, Dennis C. Ritter of Joliet, Mont., and Richard F. Ritter of Eldora; four grandsons; and two sisters, Ruth Smith of Novato, Calif., and Alliene Seiberling of Fairfield, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
