WALTER R. CLINDININ
Walter R. Clindinin, son of Finley and Evangeline Frances Greene Clindinin, was born in Grinnell, Iowa, November 2, 1880. He lived his entire life in the Grinnell area and passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Paul Esler, April 18, 1958, past 77 years of age.

On December 18, 1907, he was united in marriage with Angie Foster of Newburg, Iowa. Four children were born to the home. Mr. and Mrs. Clindinin spent their life on the farm and maintained their home until her death, in 1941. He was active all his life until the last three weeks of illness.

He was preceded in death by his companion; two children, Pvt. Harry Clindinin who died in service in 1944, and Helen Mae in infancy, and two brothers, Russell and Frank.

Those who survive include his two daughters, Mrs. J.B. (Ruth) Gould, and Mrs. Paul (Mable) Esler, both of Grinnell; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one brother, Charles Clindinin of Oak Park, Ill., several nieces and nephews, and his friends.

Funeral services for Walter R. Clindinin were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 21, 1958, at the Smith Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Sherley Eichhorn, Eugene Foster, Willard Lillie, Frank Lincoln, John Poots, and Ernest Rice.

Interment was at Hazelwood cemetery in Grinnell.
