GEORGE GILBREAITH DIED SUDDENLY
Services Said Friday From Christian Church.

Had Lived in or Near Montezuma All His Life. Had a Host of Friends.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Christian Church for George Gilbreaith, who passed away suddenly Wednesday evening at his home in south Montezuma.

Rev. Morton Wyatt was in charge of the services, and Mrs. Chas. Gorsuch and Mrs. Harold ( ? )furnished the music accompanied by Alice Underwood.

Pallbearers were Carl Sheeler, Glen Johnson, Sam Smith, Cliff Smith, Walter McNeal and L.J. Hoelzle.

Burial was in the local cemetery.

OBITUARY

George Lewis Gilbreaith, son of John and Sarah Gilbreaith, was born in Lincoln Township Poweshiek County, on September 30, 1888, and passed away very suddenly at his home February 6, 1946, at the age of 57 years, 4 months, and 7 days.

He was united in marriage to Anna Norris on February 24, 1909, and to this union were born two children, Margaret and Edward.

He has lived in and near Montezuma his entire life, his occupation being farming, and for the past 15 years has been a stock food salesman.

He had been a member of the Christian Church for several years.

He is survived by his wife, Anna; and son, Edward and wife; one grandson, Billie Lewis; 3 brothers, John, Dave, and Mark; two sisters, Mary Snook and Rose Dickey. His daughter, Margaret Gerard, preceded him in death.

His cheerful disposition and willingness to help others will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. George was popular, a good citizen.
