SUICIDE--On last Saturday, a son of James Hillman, who resides five miles northeast of Dresden, committed suicide by first cutting his throat nine times and then hanging himself with a log-chain. The young man was about 19 years of age, sober, industrious, and his friends are at a loss to account for the rash act that ends his own life. From our informant, we learn that he went to an elm tree near his father's barn, climbed up, and after cutting his throat with his razor, as above, then hung himself with the chain. When found, his knees were almost touching the ground, which showed a determination for self destruction.--Montezuma Republican
