MONTEZUMA, IA. - Dena Tish, 81, of Montezuma died of a bowel obstruction Monday at Grinnell General Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Watts Funeral Home, with burial in West Liberty Cemetery near Montezuma.

Mrs. Tish, a homemaker, was a lifelong resident of Poweshiek County and a member of West Liberty Church of Christ.

She is survived by a daughter, Norma Jean Farrington of Montezuma; a son, Earl of Newton; a brother, Joe Van Hoever of Oskaloosa; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will meet with friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to her church. ~ The Des Moines (IA) Register, April 1990
