MYLES C. OLSON

GRINNELL, IA. - Myles C. Olson, 71, of Grinnell died of a heart ailment Saturday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Smith Funeral Home. Burial, with military and fraternal rites, will be in Hazelwood Cemetery.

Mr. Olson, the owner of Olson Home Service plumbing business, was born in Quill Lake, Saskatchewan, and moved to Grinnell in 1945 from Minnesota. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion and the IOOF and Eagles lodges.

Surviving are four daughters, Kay Jack of Montezuma, Joyce Bryan of Le Grand, Helen Jo McNurlen of Grinnell and Judy Jones of Des Moines; two brothers, Gilmore of Vancouver, British Columbia, and Floyd of Minneapolis; four sisters, Irene Graham of Halifax, Nova Scotia, May Solander of Regina, Saskatchewan, Vi Bounds of North Carolina and Marie Leitheiser of Great Falls, Mont.; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call all day today and until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
