Elvera I. Burch, 94, of Grinnell died of a heart ailment Friday at Grinnell Regional Medical Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Brooklyn Cemetery.

Mrs. Burch was born in Jasper County and lived in Brooklyn until moving to Mayflower Home in 1971. She had ben a teacher, city clerk for Brooklyn and had worked in insurance and real estate. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Brooklyn, PEO Chapeter AK and Brooklyn Business Women's Club.

A sister, Helen Callen of Marshalltown, survives.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Mayflower Home.
